Currently in focus
- Launch of the Council's device loan scheme. Working with partners the Council will develop a digital device loan scheme allowing residents to loan a connected computer. The Council will loan devices to its residents to promote the benefits of being online and to address any short-term need to access a computer.
- Expected completion TBC.
- Create a smart home within the borough which will be open to visitors to help demonstrate the benefits of technology in your home. Specifically how technology can enable vulnerable people to live more independent lives.

Currently in focus
- Planned procurement has now been completed and work has begun to fully utilise laid full fibre cabling to all identified public sector properties located within the borough. To improve connectivity to libraries, sheltered accommodations, schools, fire stations as well as community and village halls etc,
- Expected completion within the borough, March 2024.
- Through the ASELA partnership, the likes of Openreach, Virgin and CityFibre has committed resources to make the borough gigabyte ready (full fibre to the property) to address government targets (85% coverage). There has been a 9.3% increase in full fibre coverage within the borough in 2023 due to this programme of work (last updated Dec 2023, for the latest information visit 'Getting connected').

- The development of a formal partnership with 'Every Child Online' to tackle digital isolation within borough.
