Rent Start Scheme
Rent Start is a Basildon Council incentive scheme set up to help private sector landlords and agents find suitable tenants to rent rooms in shared houses, bedsits, studio flats and self-contained one bedroom flats or houses.
Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO)
A house in multiple occupation (HMO) is a property occupied by 3 or more people (including children) who form more than 1 household and share a facility such as a toilet, kitchen or bathroom.
