Guidance for applicants
If you or your organisation think you may be eligible for a Sport and Physical Activity Development Grant then do not hesitate to apply.
Grant applications which demonstrate that the funding will be put towards helping increase participation in a sport or physical activity are looked upon favourably. This is especially so when such funding is intended to help those who may otherwise currently face barriers to participation in their chosen sport or physical activity.
For example, a talented swimmer received funding to represent England in the World School Games in Brazil, her first international competition. She returned home triumphant winning three gold medals in two individual events and one team event. As a result of her performance, she has now been invited into the Swim England Talent pathway.
Other successful applicants include FC Redwing who received funding to equip their new FA Squad programme which provides a fun and safe environment for over 20 girls aged 12-14; Sociability who received a grant to purchase bicycle trailers; a wheelchair racer, an archer and several others.
