In the news: Nando's officially opens its doors in Basildon's East Square
Visitors to Basildon Town Centre can now enjoy even more dining choice as Nando's opened its doors to bring its unique brand of flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken to the East Square cinema development.
In addition to Basildon's brand new venue, Nando's have more than 1,200 restaurants worldwide, offering a delicious menu of PERi-PERi chicken with a popular range of sides and accompaniments in a uniquely themed setting. The new restaurant has bespoke light fittings from UK designer Flo and Joe, concrete sinks and wall panelling from Concrete Carrot and unique art, along with portal mirrors and benches from South Africa.
The new restaurant is located in East Square, Basildon, part of the new development led by Basildon Council. The development will include six new dining experiences, including Orleto Lounge which opened in February 2022, Kaspa's Desserts which opened in October 2022, as well as the upcoming Empire Cinema, a luxury state-of-the-art cinema, all right in the heart of Basildon town centre.
A spokesperson from Nando's said: "Nando's is very excited to be opening a new restaurant in East Square. We have relocated after successfully trading in Basildon since 2008 and look forward to being part of the new restaurant and leisure location in the town centre.
