Hovefields and Honiley Neighbourhood Area and Neighbourhood Forum
In February 2016 Basildon Borough Council received a formal application from the Hovefields and Honiley Neighbourhood Forum to designate the area around Hovefields Avenue, Hovefields Drive and Honiley Avenue as a Neighbourhood Area. At the same time the Council also received a formal application to designate the Hovefields and Honiley Neighbourhood Forum.
In accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), the Council publicised both applications for six weeks between Tuesday 1st March and Tuesday 12th April 2016 and invited representations.
On 25 May 2016 Basildon Borough Council approved the designation of the Hovefields and Honiley Neighbourhood Area and the designation of the Hovefields and Honiley Neighbourhood Forum. The decision notice, publication statement of the consultation and the applications are available to view below.
The five year designation period for the Hovefields and Honiley Neighbourhood Forum expired on 25 May 2021, in accordance with Sections 61F (8) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (as inserted by Schedule 9 Part 1 of the Localism Act 2011). In April 2021, the Hovefields and Honiley Neighbourhood Forum wrote to Basildon Council to advise that the Forum was not going to be making an application for re-designation.
