Stretch limousines must be licensed, minibuses for more than 8 must be licensed, wedding/funeral cars are exempt.
Stretch Limos
Stretch limousines carry passengers for hire and reward and must therefore be licensed with the Local Authority or the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA).
Stretch limousines are not permitted, under any circumstances, to carry more than 8 passengers.
Minibuses carrying more than 8 passengers
Minibuses that are capable of carrying more than 8 passengers must be licensed as a PSV through the Traffic Commissioner at Cambridge.
Wedding and Funeral cars
Wedding and funeral cars are exempt from licensing as a vehicle for the carriage of passengers for hire and reward.
