Report Overcrowding
If you are on the Housing Register and believe you are subject to overcrowding in your property, you can let us know using our online form.
Overcrowding in housing is defined by two main standards: the room standard and the space standard.
Room Standard: This standard is breached if two people of the opposite sex, who are not living together as a couple, have to sleep in the same room. Children under the age of 10 are not counted in this rule
Space Standard: This standard considers the number of people relative to the size of the dwelling. It specifies the maximum number of people who can sleep in a dwelling based on the number and size of rooms
If you believe your home is overcrowded under these standards, please tell us more using the form below. You must provide all of the information requested so that we can properly assess your submission.
