Drainage - blocked drains and surface water

Problems with blocked drains or the presence of surface water

References to drainage relates to the pipework that connects properties to a system designed to dispose of or treat the waste correctly and where these systems are not allowing the waste to flow freely (blockages). This does not include maintenance of ditches or flooding.

The Council's involvement is specifically aimed at foul water drainage (toilets) issues where inadequate drainage may cause a public health risk for example a foul water drain in a neighbours property is overflowing and it is not the responsibility of Anglian Water to resolve.
