Permission for a dropped kerb needs to be sought from Essex county Council.

If the proposed driveway access crosses over a significant amount of amenity, community or highway land (3 metres or more), then planning permission would be required to change the use of the land.

If you are a council tenant, or if the land is owned by Basildon Council, you will also need our permission.


 

The only way to confirm that a proposed development does not require planning consent is by submitting a Lawful Development Certificate application.


 

Please submit a Lawful Development Certificate application to establish whether a planning application for a proposed change of use is required.

If a change of use is required, you can apply for this online.


 

There was no requirement to discharge conditions before 2008.

Any applications post 2008 can be viewed on the e-planning part of the Council's website.


 

Please submit this request in writing and provide either the details of the S106 Agreement or attach a copy of the Agreement.


 

A historic search can be completed for non-householder sites only. 

The request must be submit in writing, providing the details of the site. The fee for this service will be provided on application.
