Sex Establishment Licensing Policy

This policy sets out the guiding principles the Council will generally apply when making decisions on applications. It also sets out information about the application process, what is expected of applicants and how people can make objections about applications. It also sets out the types of controls that are available to the Council when decisions are made about licence applications and explains what action can be taken if complaints are received.

The policy document is intended as a guide to applicants, licence holders, people who want to object to applications and members of the Licensing Committee who are responsible for determining contested applications. It also aims to guide and reassure the public and other public authorities, ensuring transparency and consistency in decision making."
