- Basildon Council will not ask for your bank pin or any account details over text.
- Basildon Council will not text you from a mobile number. The sender will always appear as 'BasildonCouncil' or some variation - not a phone number.
- Basildon Council would not send you to any website except basildon.gov.uk.
What to do if you're unsure
If you're uncertain about how legit a text is, don't do anything!
