Environmental Information Requests
The Environmental Information Regulations 2004 provide public access to environmental information held by public authorities.
The Regulations do this in two ways:
- public authorities must make environmental information available proactively;
- members of the public are entitled to request environmental information from public authorities.
Fees and charges:
- A fee of £106.00 must be paid at the point of submitting a request under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004. We will not process the request until this is received.
- Payment should be made on our secure portal, accessed via the below link.
- Please insert the full name of the individual or Organisation making the request, as the reference for your payment
- You will need to tell us the unique payment receipt number on your request form

Once we receive your request under the Environmental Information Regulations, we will:
- acknowledge receipt as soon as it is received
- review the request to make sure we can release the data
- Inform you if additional charges apply to be able to collate and release the requested information
- If collation of the information is anticipated to take more than 2hrs of officer time, additional charges will be payable at a rate of £53.00 p/hr
- provide you with the data within 20 working days
- inform you if we will take longer than 20 working days to provide it
