Community Safety Partnerships (CSP) do not replace the work of the Police or the day to day business of the organisations involved, instead they are seen as clear routes for agencies to work together, delivering against agreed priorities, co-ordinating resources, achieving efficiencies and value for money.

What we do Basildon Community Safety Partnership (CSP) is a statutory body required by the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 to formulate a strategy to reduce crime and disorder, combat substance misuse and reduce re-offending in the borough. Basildon Council - Community Safety Team The Community Safety Team at Basildon Council is a key partner in the Basildon Community Safety Partnership (CSP) and plays a vital role in the success of the CSP. Gangs and Serious Organised Crime Each CSP priority has a Local Delivery Group with an identified lead officer who is responsible for driving delivery and activity contained in the action plans. Hidden Harms Each CSP priority has a Local Delivery Group with an identified lead officer who is responsible for driving delivery and activity contained in the action plans. Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) The Partnership has the appropriate representation and involvement in the comprehensive County Wide structure that is in place to address Child Sexual Exploitation. Reducing Re-Offending Each CSP priority has a Local Delivery Group with an identified lead officer who is responsible for driving delivery and activity contained in the action plans. Early Intervention and Prevention Basildon CSP has worked to develop an early intervention and prevention programme to deliver key community safety messages to young people. Community Engagement and Reassurance The CSP have active social media accounts which are used to promote events and campaigns and also provide crime prevention advice and tips on prevalent issues. The SOS Bus The Basildon SOS Bus is located at Festival Leisure Park every Friday and Saturday night from 9pm until 3am, helping vulnerable people at the site well into the early hours. Public Space Protection Order Image icon - Information Following public consultation, Basildon Borough Council working with the Community Safety Partnership has designated Basildon Town Centre and the surrounding areas as being subject to a Public Space Protection Order.
