Whistleblowing policy

Give misconduct the red card - Confidential reporting policy and procedure

Basildon Council is committed to maintaining the highest possible standards of openness and accountability.

In line with that commitment, Basildon Council expects employees and the contractors that it deals with, to come forward and voice any serious concerns they have about any aspect of the Council's work. It also asks that members of the public who when dealing with the Council have any concerns in relation to employee misconduct, suspect breach of any of the Council's codes/regulations/standards, unprofessional conduct or fraud and corruption within the Council that they report this concern.

Report your suspicions

Concerns can also be sent to the following confidential e-mail address: whistleblowing@basildon.gov.uk.
