Notice of review of polling districts and polling places
The Basildon (Electoral Changes) Order 2023 makes changes to the electoral arrangements for the Basildon borough (number of councillors and wards)
Notice is now hereby given that Basildon Borough Council is subsequently conducting a review of polling districts and polling places within the Borough of Basildon and invites any interested parties, political groups and electors to make comments on any changes to the existing arrangements they wish to be taken into consideration. Representation will also be considered from persons who have particular expertise in relation to access to premises or facilities for persons who have different forms of disability.
We would encourage anyone making representations to suggest alternative polling districts/places where appropriate and to give reason for the alternative. Any representations must be received by 5:00 pm on Thursday 21st September 2023 comments should be submitted in writing to the address below or by email to elections@basildon.gov.uk
The (Acting) Returning Officer will make comment on the proposal and those representations will be published on the Councils website at www.basildon.gov.uk/elections
