If you are you a private tenant experiencing problems with your living conditions Basildon Council can use enforcement procedures to achieve statutory housing and environmental standards.

Your landlord must not cause any interruption to your gas, electric or water supply.

If you live in rented accommodation, have a problem with the property's state of repair and your landlord is refusing to carry out works, you can report this to us.
