Community Litter Picking Groups

Residents in the borough have been helping the local community by carrying out litter picking events, clean ups and other activities.

They want your help!

Local litter picking groups are operating in your area and are always looking for like-minded residents to help their cause. This is a great way to meet new people, get outside, and to help out your fellow residents.

You can find all the above groups on Facebook. They are always happy for new people to join in.

If you are a community group who wishes to be included on the list and carry out litter picking events, please get in touch at recycling@basildon.gov.uk

Basildon Borough Council supports local litter picking events by loaning out equipment and removing any waste collected.

Please Note: Any hazardous or sharps waste must not be touched, and reported immediately to the Council who will remove using the correct trained staff and equipment.
