The George Hurd Centre

The George Hurd Centre is a multipurpose building in the heart of Basildon.

Open 7 days a week and offering a large hall and several smaller halls and rooms for hire, tt is the perfect location for your activity or event. We also offer promotional support for regular hirers and special events via our web pages and social media at no extra cost.

The centre is fully accessible and boasts ample parking for your guests. It is situated within walking distance of Basildon Train Station, and has good links to the M25, A13 and A127.

The centre is home to the George Hurd Activity Centre for the over 50's Monday to Friday, 9am - 4.30pm. The Halls and rooms are available for hourly hire during the evenings and weekends for both regular hire and one-off events.
