The Main Hall

The Main Hall is a large and airy space that is perfect for larger meetings, conferences, exhibitions, martial arts or dancing and exercise classes that require large open spaces. With its high ceiling, the Main Hall can also accommodate Bouncy Castles up to 9.5ft high, so is a great venue for children's parties. It also includes use of a small kitchen equipped with 2 kettles, a microwave and small fridge.

Prices

Commercial Rate:

  • Mon-Fri: £36.90 per hour
  • Sat-Sun: £47.60 per hour

Community Rate:

  • Mon-Fri: £25.15 per hour   
  • Sat-Sun: £32.30 per hour

Additional Utility charge: 

  • £21.75+vat (for Bouncy castles etc)

We can also supply a hot water urn and whiteboard at no extra cost (subject to availability, marker pens not supplied).

Halls and Rooms are available to hire at the following times:

  • Mon-Fri: 16:30 - 21:30
  • Sat: 09:00 - 15:45 (additional terms apply, please contact us for a quote)
  • Sun: 09:00 - 15:45

Weekend hours can be extended to 09:00 - 21:30 on request at an additional cost.

Children's parties must finish by 6pm, maximum age 12 years.

About your booking

All tables and chairs will be set up to your specification upon your arrival. At the end of your booking, you will leave the room as you found it and take your rubbish with you. We will put the furniture away.

You will only have access to the rooms that you have booked for the duration of the booking, so please allow time for setting up and clearing away.

Please note: you may need to share the kitchen with another group if there is a booking in the Dining Room that also requires access to it.

Please note: Due to a caveat attached to the building there is strictly no alcohol or adults' parties of any kind allowed at The George Hurd Centre. The building MUST be vacated at 21:30 sharp.
