If the tree is protected by a Tree Preservation Order, you will have to obtain consent for the work prior to undertaking it.
If the property on which the tree is situated is in a Conservation Area, you will require the Council's agreement before any work is undertaken.
Details to include in the email:
- What work needs to be undertaken,
- why the work is needed,
- include a location or sketch plan showing the location of the tree in relation to the dwelling and boundaries.
The Council no longer offer this service.
You will need to contact a tree surgeon who may also submit the application on your behalf.
