Christmas gift drive launched to support local children in need

With the festive season fast approaching, Basildon Council is calling on the community to make donations of toys, gifts, and hampers for children aged 0 to 16 who will spend the season in challenging circumstances.

Donations will be collected at the Basildon Centre, St Martins Square, SS14 1DL - Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm each day. 

Basildon Council also invites gifts for single parents and vulnerable adults living in temporary accommodation in Basildon.

Basildon Council Warm Home Guarantee Campaign to Protect Borough Pensioners this Winter

The council has allocated £100,000 to help 1,000 pensioner households with energy bills as community urged to come together to ensure pensioners receive vital support. Basildon Council is calling on the entire community to get involved and help ensure pensioners have access to these vital services. Together, we can make sure no one is left out in the cold this winter.

ASB week takes place Monday 18 November to Sunday 24 November 2024. This year's theme is 'Making Communities Safer'.

Pop up events will take place across the borough to raise awareness of Anti-Social Behaviour and the ways to report it, with opportunities to pick up crime prevention materials.
