Notice of Casual Vacancy in the Office of County Councillor

Notice is hereby given under Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that a casual vacancy exists in the office of County Councillor for the PITSEA division of Essex County Council.

A by-election will be held if the County Council's Chief Executive receives written requests for the vacancy to be filled from two local government electors for the County of Essex.

If such requests are received, the by-election must be held within 35 working days. There is no deadline by which requests must be made. Unless two requests are received, the seat will remain vacant until the next ordinary elections in 2025.

Requests for a by-election must include the elector's name and address and be sent to the Chief Executive at the address below.
