Following the Bank Holiday on Monday 25 May all waste and recycling collections for the Basildon borough will be a day later than usual.

This will be the same for all collections during the week commencing 25 May.

The Chairman of Basildon Council's Neighbourhoods and Public Spaces Committee, Councillor David Harrison said:

"Because of the upcoming Bank Holiday on Monday, we're asking people to please hold onto any household waste and place it out, in the right container, one day later instead.

"If you're unsure what day your collection day is in your neighbourhood you can check on our new "Our Streets Basildon" waste and recycling app, or go online and check at: www.basildon.gov.uk

The Our Streets Basildon app is available to download , see: NEW: Our Streets Basildon app
