More estate action days to help improve the look and feel of the borough will go ahead this year.

Three action days were held towards the end of last year in Ghyllgrove, Vange and Rydene in Pitsea.

The action days involved officers from across Basildon Council's street scene and enforcement teams carrying out estate walkabouts where they spoke to residents and identified issues with the aim of improving the neighbourhood. Pride Teams trimmed back hedges and made general improvements to the street scene and enforcement was undertaken where necessary.

Chairman of the Neighbourhoods and Public Spaces Committee Councillor David Harrison said: "These action days enable us to work more closely with the community to make sure areas of the borough are clean and tidy and support is available for residents.
