In the News: New leadership At Basildon Council
24 May 2019 - Basildon Council has a new leader and committee make up following its annual meeting, held last night (23rd May 2019). Twenty-two councillors of varying political parties agreed to work together in order to take control of the council from the conservative group who have twenty members.
15 May 2019 - Councillors have discussed plans for a non-charging Clean Air Zone to the north of Basildon and a reduction of the speed limit on a stretch of the A127 as part of a package of measures to improve air quality.
