In the news: Public hearing date set
A date has been set for a Hearing in respect of Canford Avenue, Wickford, Essex, SS12 0JN and Land known as "The Orchard", Canford Avenue, SS12 0JN.
The Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State will hold the hearing opening at 10am on Tuesday 8 October 2024 at The Basildon Centre, St George's Suite, St Martin's Square, Basildon, Essex, SS14 1DL.
Any person may attend the hearing and, at the Inspector's discretion, give their views, or appoint someone to speak on their behalf.

The hearing follows appeals by Mrs Hilda Eastwood, relating to the enforcement notices issued by Basildon Council alleging:
1. The construction of a dwellinghouse (the Building) shown approximately edged and hatched black on the notice plan
2. Laying of hardstanding on the site shown approximately as shaded in blue on the notice plan
The hearing will also include appeals against refused planning permission 23/01068/FULL - Retention of existing bungalow.
