Knife Amnesty Bins

As part of its priority to address violence and vulnerability the Safer Basildon Partnership has supported the installation of two knife amnesty bins in the Borough at the following locations:

  • Outside Basildon Police Station, Great Oaks, Basildon
  • Opposite Chalvedon Social Club, Mill Green, Pitsea

The bins have been installed to encourage residents to safely and anonymously dispose of their knives removing them from the streets and reducing the likelihood of them getting into the wrong hands.

Anyone who wants to surrender a knife should ensure it is fully wrapped up and placed in a secure container before bringing it to the amnesty bins.

Basildon: Our Borough Magazine

The Safer Basildon Partnership has a dedicated page in every edition of the Basildon Council's quarterly magazine.

The content of each page varies to ensure relevant events, campaigns and messages are included based around the Safer Basildon Partnership action plans and other activity.

Media Releases

Basildon Council's Marketing and Communications Team supports the Safer Basildon Partnership in actively issuing press releases as appropriate to promote Partnership activity.
