Single Resident Discount - Council Tax Discount/Exemption
When calculating how much council tax a property pays, it's assumed there are two adults in a house. If you're the only person aged over 18 in your home, you are entitled to a single resident discount.
What discount is available?
Properties with only one adult (18+) may be entitled to a single resident discount on council tax - this is 25% off your annual bill.
