Basic Careline alarm equipment

Alarm Unit

Existing clients will already have this equipment which comes as a part of the basic Careline package.

This unit links your alarm and Telecare devises via your telephone link to Basildon Careline's Control room. This enables you to speak directly to our specially trained staff.

Alarm pendant or wristband

Existing clients will already have this equipment which comes as a part of the basic Careline package.

When you press the alarm button, this is instantly activated to raise assistance. This can be worn around the neck or on a wrist strap.

The following are just some of the additional items of Telecare equipment can be supplied direct to clients without referral from a health or social care professional.

Flood Detector

This device automatically dials our contact centre and we can let you know if water is detected on your floor.

Smoke Alarm

This raises an instant audible alarm and also dials automatically our monitoring centre to enable our specialist team contact the emergency services if appropriate

Bogus Caller Button

This device is fitted near your front door. By pressing this button it alerts our specialist team as a silent call, and will identify you have concerns in relation to a caller at your property, we will verify if this is a genuine caller and contact the appropriate service in the case of an intruder we will alert the police.

Carbon Monoxide Detector

This device warns of dangerous levels of CO gas within the property. Our specialist team will take appropriate action.

The following are just some of the additional items of Telecare equipment, all marked with an *, that can only be provided by Careline on receipt of a referral from a qualified healthcare professional.

Bed or Chair Occupancy Sensor *

This pressure pad fits discreetly under chair cushion or mattress. When the user leaves the bed or chair and has not returned with in a time frame an alarm is activated

DDA Kit (for the hard of hearing) *

This pager or watch Kit is linked to other equipment i.e. smoke alarm, door bell, phone, pillow alert and flashing beacon This will alert you and our control Centre of an emergency

Enuresis Sensor *

This is placed between the mattress and sheet and provides immediate warning if moisture is detected.

Epilepsy Sensor *

This can provide a warning of an epileptic seizure while in bed

Fall Detector

This device automatically detects if you have fallen. This can be worn on waist in a pouch or on a belt

Pill Dispenser *

This gives you an audio reminder to take your medication at their correct time, if medication is not taken then our monitoring centre is alerted. This securely holds up to 28 doses and can be filled by a pharmacist or designated person

Property Exit Sensor*

This provides a early warning that a person has left their property and not returned within a designated time. This is ideal for people who have dementia or are prone to wandering.
