If you are interested in becoming a Community Panel representative please complete and return a copy of our Tenant Participation Nomination Form.
If you require further information please contact the Community Involvement Team, see contact details below.
Community Panel meetings
There are two active Community Panels; Laindon Park and Langdon Hills Community Panel and Pitsea North-West and South-East Community Panel. Each Community Panel is made up of local residents and covers a particular area within the Basildon Borough and each panel is supported by Basildon Council's Resident Involvement Team. There are six other Community Panel areas; Wickford, Billericay Burstead and Crouch, Nethermayne and Vange, Fryerns and Craylands, St Martins and Lee Chapel North. However, these Community Panels are held on an ad hoc basis at the request of local residents.
The meetings are attended by local Councillors, but they are run by the tenant and leaseholder members of the Community Panel, who are supported by a member of the Community Involvement Team.
Local residents and members of the general public are encouraged to attend Community Panel meetings.
Future Meeting Dates
No future meeting dates have been set and arrangements for Community Panels are currently being reviewed. The Community Involvement Team are working with residents to consider a range of options. Updates will be posted as they become available.
