Community Risk Register
The Civil Contingencies Act 2004 places a legal duty on Local Authorities to publish a Community Risk Register containing risk assessments for dealing with events and situations that could result in a major emergency.
As part of the Essex wide Emergency Planning arrangements, Essex County Council publishes a countywide Community Risk Register in partnership with Basildon Council and all other Essex local authorities.
The Community Risk Register is updated both annually or whenever it becomes necessary to update the register with information about new risks, or revisions to existing risks.
